Comfort Kitchen, located at 454 Broadway hasn't even opened yet, and people have already started taking shots at them. Boo, Saratoga. Boo. Let them open first before we start giving them jabs.
"Speaking about not getting kicked out for late rent, Comfort Kitchen can't fail. Mommy and Daddy own the building. The threat of failure is what drives a business. Rich people suck."
I must admit, that as devoted parent to a wonderful 3 year old labradoodle named Captain Sugar Britches, I would do anything to make sure she was successful. It's what a parent does. I can only assume this is also true for people with human offspring.
Comfort Kitchen opens up in the next couple of weeks.

We might be sucking head if this turns out to be true
Yo, you dipshits like cajun food? If so, then you may be basking in cajun food glory sometime within the year. According to the intel we received via email from our other secret source (a person we refer to only as Krycek), a local woman is looking to open a cajun restaurant somewhere downtown. Possibly in the new Bonacio/Price Chopper building?
Krycek is a new informant for us..so take this one with a grain of salt.
And trust no one.
You took the time to write us..we'll take the time to respond
"Hi Idiots,
Wanted to first say we love reading this blog. It's always full of good information and it's fun to read. I'm writing you because we have a question. My family is coming to Saratoga in August for a family vacation and we are bringing my husbands great Aunt because she loves Saratoga and it her birthday that weekend. She loves Italian food and we thought we'd take her to Chianti for a birthday dinner. She recently told us that she didn't enjoy Chianti's when we were there last so we are looking for Italian restaurant options. I know you speak highly of Mama Mias, but we think it might not be fancy enough for a birthday dinner. Can you please help us?
Desperately Seeking Italian"
Hi DSI,
Thanks for writing and yes, we can help. We would first like to say that Mama Mias would be a great choice for a dinner, but if you think it's not nice enough, then we'll move on..but you might want to consider them anyways. Some people on the team suggested taking your great aunt to Fornos, but I pointed out that Fornos is owned by the same people your great aunt dislikes. So yeah, fuck that bizness. I would suggest either Auggies in Ballston Spa, or Pennells over by the racetrack. Personally I'd pick Pennells over Auggies. It's an old school family Italian restaurant with a classic Italian menu. Always great service and possibly the best lasagna and best meatballs for miles. It's a very cute and cozy spot and I'm sure your great auntie will love it more than her Lawrence Welk record collection.
Good luck,

You are getting that mother fucking parade after all
I wish this group was marching in the parade
Thanks to the hard efforts of people getting together to rally for a cause they believe in, the City of Saratoga Springs will be getting that Memorial Day Parade after all. This means you parade loving fools will be giddy with excitement as firetrucks and boyscouts walk past you and wave. As for the rest of us, this means we have to sit and wait for the parade to go by just so we can cross the street for a cup of coffee. Lame.
If you are interested in pitching in or you just want to be part of a group of people with a "get er done" attitude, check out their facebook page here. Organizers of the parade said they won't rest after this. They plan on taking their winning momentum and moving on to their next goal, which is getting Uncommon Grounds to offer avocado on their menu. Oh, and don't think you're not on their radar either, Marinos Pizza....you're next after that....you and your goddamn round pizzas cut into tiny squares. Assholes.

Scorching review of Max Londons bar and greeter
A mom, librarian and restaurant industry veteran gives the service at Max Londons a huge thumbs down. Awww...
But she gives the food a thumbs up. Yay!
Check out her review of her second visit and how it all went wrong with the greeting (or lack of) and her thoughts on how the restaurant could be better.
We confirm 28 Tables rumor the old fashion way..
It's true folks. John Ireland and Panza's have taken over 28 Tables (located above the Metro on Maple Ave). How did we confirm this? Simple. We called and asked for John Ireland and they put us on hold while they looked for him. So there you go Saratoga, one of Saratoga's best chefs has returned to our little city. Consider this rumor IBI CONFIRMED!
Wish we owned a stamp that said that.
